How to replace the Samsung S7 Battery
Before replacing your phone battery please make sure to discharge the battery below 20%. A fully charged lithium-ion phone battery that is unstable or not handled correctly could combust or explode.
1: Apply the suction cap to the backing glass on the phone and pull on the suction cap gently to lift the glass and create a gap. Apply heat from a heat gun or hairdryer to help soften the adhesive. Insert an opening pick into the gap and gently slide it along the outside edges to cut through the adhesive on all sides.
2: Remove the twelve Phillips #00 screws and remove the 3 separate plastic pieces to expose the battery.
3: Pry the battery connector flex cable and detach it from the motherboard very carefully.
4: Soften the adhesive that is keeping the battery in place with a heat gun or hairdryer and then gently use the spudger tool or a pick to pry the battery out and replace with a new battery. Remember to re-connect the battery flex cable.
