What makes a good CR2032 Battery?
CR2032 batteries are referred to as a lithium coin cell. They are interchangeable with all models with the preceding 2032 name. The name is derived from the dimensions of the battery, being 20mm x 3.2mm. Lithium batteries are much more suited for high drain devices as opposed to their alkaline couterparts.
Capacity – The standard capacity of a CR2032 battery is 225mAh but this could be higher or lower depending on the manufacturer and also the age of the battery. The milliampere-hour may also vary slightly from battery to battery. For instance energizer panasonic CR2032 has a stated capacity of 225mAh whereas an energizer has 235mAh. This determines the amount of energy the battery has.
Voltage – CR2032 batteries are rated at a standard 3V (three volt). Testing the batteries may produce differing results. This is due to age and also manufacturing process. Testing a fresh CR2032 should yield a result of 3V but slightly higher or lower is normal.
